As Jack got older, he started to struggle more with his routine. If we laid him down before he was into a deep sleep, he would wake crying and would want to be rocked again. It was also taking much longer to get him into a deep sleep, so my husband and I would find ourselves rocking him for up to an hour before we could lay him down. Naps were becoming a significant challenge with him sleeping less and less.
The time to begin sleep training Jack came, and to say I was not emotionally ready would be an understatement. Carianna assured me that Jack was ready for this and that she was there to support us through the process.
Night one came and went, with almost no protest from Jack, and only one night waking to eat! I could not believe that he responded so well, and I realized that he truly was seeking some independence and that he was capable of learning to sleep independently.
I could not speak higher of Carianna and her services. More than anything, she helped me see the forest through the trees. She took the time to learn about Jack, and then gave us a step-by-step plan for how to tackle independent sleep with him. The support she offered was invaluable, and she was so gracious in answering my millions of questions quickly and providing constant support.
Jack is doing great and is becoming more and more comfortable in his crib! We are all more rested, and bedtime is something we look forward to. After Jack’s bottle each night, we head upstairs for bath time. He is literally giddy with excitement, a smile on his face, and his whole body wiggling with joy, as we climb the stairs. It is such a wonderful thing to see.
